How to install a python script on Windows 8.1?
I am attempting to install a python script in Windows 8.1 but keep running into problems.
I am not really well versed on installing scripts for the purposes of local use. I am using Visual Studio 2013 if that is pertinent.
When I try to install it using Pip, it says
D:\projectpath\workspace.x86>python setup.py install
error – please read the FAQ for questions about installing

Note that I am using x86, and the FAQ says that only x64 versions are suitable, but I’m unsure how to do that.
I’m also unsure of how to run the script itself. If I double click on it, it just gives a load of anaconda prompt stuff – is there any way to pass that off to python?
I have the python version 3.3.2 already installed.
If anyone can help, it’d be greatly appreciated.

Here’s my approach to this. Python 2.7, 32-bit, Visual Studio 2013.
I assume you have Python installed in a usual location on your system, so you can get the path by typing in from the command line:
python –version
Then, you can create the directory where you want your scripts located, and move the executable to that directory.
mkdir Scripts
mv Scripts\myScript.py myScript.py
Now, you can run it from the command line:
python myScript.py

I think you just need to put your if statement inside the for loop.
