"OBJExporter allows you to correctly export your 3D Studio Max scenes to the OBJ format.
The plugin uses the XML data interchange (XML) export functionality included in Maxon’s 3D Studio Max. You can use the OBJ exporter to export both standard materials and procedural maps, as well as the bitmaps associated with them.
The bitmap that is exported is based on the material, so you can create a material and then export just the bitmap, even the procedural map associated with that material will be exported.
The data of the procedural map will be included in the object and then be imported again into another 3D Studio Max scene when the.OBJ object is imported.
