You can use the Adjustment Layers to make changes without editing the underlying layers. You can use these Adjustment Layers to fine-tune images without taking away the underlying image’s layers.
To add an Adjustment Layer, click the Adjustments button, shown in the margin, or choose Adjustments from the Tools panel and then choose Adjustment Layers. Alternatively, you can select the Adjustment Layers button in the Layers panel and then choose Adjustment Layers.
Photoshop enables you to make a composite adjustment by applying several adjustment layers in combination. For example, you may add several adjustments in Levels or Curves. You can create a composite adjustment layer by right-clicking the Adjustment Layers icon, shown in the margin, and then choosing Composite from the shortcut menu, as shown
