The Layer 2 layer becomes a single layer over the Overlay 1 layer.
6. Select the black-and-white logo image and choose Edit⇒Copy.
7. Select the Overlay 1 layer and choose Edit⇒Paste.
8. Double-click the Layer 2 layer’s name to open it in the Layers dialog box. From here you can add more Layer 2 layers and Merge layers as needed.
9. From the menu bar, choose File⇒Save.
Photoshop saves the file, so select the Overlay 1 layer from the Layers panel. The figure shows the progress that generates a new file.
10. Select the Overlay 1 layer and choose Layer⇒Merge Down.
11. Select the Layer 2 layer and choose Layer⇒New⇒Overlay.
12. Choose a color from the Color Picker palette, and then drag it to the new overlay that is created.
