Pathway-PDT can be used in three ways, independent of your own programing skills:

as an independent application,

as the plug-in module for your program and,

as a stand-alone module for using in your own program.

Pathway-PDT can operate as a stand-alone tool for analyzing any problem you can think of – in fact, as you read through the options below, you can see that Pathway-PDT can be used in much the same way as one of our own software programs.

Pathway-PDT File Types (PED and MAP):
The input files to be used by Pathway-PDT are provided in four types, commonly used in molecular genetic analysis. These formats are called PED (Pedigree/Exact Match) MAP (Mapping) and GGS (Gene/Geneset) and can be used for NPL or STRP and DPL data sets.

DS: Distance Data

SPL: Shared phenotype

PP: Presence/Absence

Obs: Observations

Sex: Sex

With these formats and our software applications, one can only analyze SNP and STRP data sets (DPL and NPL) at present.

Pathway-PDT will create a PED data set for your gene/geneset, a MAP data set for your mapping and a GS, PHEN, DS, SPL, PP and a Sex data set for this structure or a new phenotype (see the options).

Before using Pathway-PDT the data set should be set up as described below. If you are using PED files from other software, please use the instructions given here.
