  What’s the best genre of videogames for last month? Why, Role Playing Games of course? Contrary to popular belief, we’re not trying to start any kind of commotion here, but really, as much as we are fans of the genre, we must admit that this month’s most played titles are clearly, quite simply, the RPGs. Now, I’ll get on with the month-end summary, as we’ll have to look at the games released last month. I’ve used the same weights for all the top games, but since this info has been released on December 8th, there is still a few days to go. These are the RPG games I played last month:

  1. Game of Thrones: Dawn of Fantasy – (SEGA)

  Hey folks, it’s time for the best RPGs of the month, but this time, we’re going to have a role playing game. A complex and intriguing RPG, that we’ve been waiting for as long as the game came to be.

  Due to the enormous amount of changes that were made to the game, we won’t be covering everything in this review, so just keep in mind that we will only be talking about the changes made in terms of graphics and gameplay mechanics, as other aspects have not really changed since the game first came to be.

  Graphics

  The graphics have been revamped, and have shown a bigger focus on close ups and better detailing, as opposed to a more visible ground that was present in the previous version. The characters, the environment and the maps look a bit better, overall.

  Gameplay

  You now control the avatar using the WASD keys, but you still need to aim using the Mouse and use different keys, such as the A and D keys, to attack enemies, equip items and switch to different screens and control your movement.

  A greater focus has been put on RPG aspects, especially when it comes to the combat, as you now have a different set of actions that can be performed on your opponents. You can equip items to increase your combat skills, such as increasing your weapon attack stats, or increasing your staff skills, among other things.

  The menus have changed a lot, and one can safely assume that the game will not be for everyone, as the menus aren’t as pretty as the old ones, but we have to admit that we liked the new

  Love: AMAZING! It is totally focused on each player’s relationship with not just the items they use but also their characters and allows the rare possibility to create a fantastical balance between relationship and gameplay. The game is also really family friendly considering that it is all about making the characters smile.

  Tact: When you are the first game to have such a powerful role in the whole game, it comes with a lot of unique challenges. As a result, the game has a lot of fun with the same old tropes of roleplaying with new twists. In my opinion, the game ensures you won’t get caught up in the usual roleplaying problems.

  Art: I was inspired by our king Arthur novels that are probably one of my favorite reads and i got inspired by the light-hearted feel of the world. As a result, the art is bright and colorful in contrast to the dark and the gloomy style of other fantasy games.

  Pros:

  Beautiful art that feels bright and cheerful. This really makes you feel like you are somewhere different from the usual fantasy, which you can focus on the battle.

  Cons:

  There are a few issues with texturing, but honestly none of the graphical quality ever bothered me as much as textured races made of various directions.

  The story is really beautiful and is set in a fantasy world.

  Battle:

  Visuals and sound are smooth and the battle system is pretty intuitive.

  Cons:

  One of the issues is that some items don’t have any particle effects.

  While it was great to see the lighthearted look of the game in the story and the characters, the battle system is not exactly lighthearted.

  Summary:

  Despite the small issues, I feel that LOTRO is worth it for the story and gameplay. In addition to its lighthearted and cheerful art style, you’ll see a pure fantasy world full of action and fun elements.
