Introduction

If you have been following the development of StarCraft II, you may already have been aware of the title StarCraft: Nova Covert Ops. This is a science fiction story with a StarCraft setting which takes place on a different planet, and it will be out in November.

I have come to know that Nova Covert Ops was in the works for the past ten years, and the game has gone through many changes. To increase the appeal of StarCraft, the plan was to make an original story about a new race. However, if I made the original story alone, I would have had to cover up the StarCraft elements in order to avoid the negative association with StarCraft.

That is why I decided to create Nova Covert Ops from the start with a science fiction setting, and in that way, I could tell my story without limiting it.

This new story is important to me because it is a story I have been waiting for my entire life. You may have been living under a rock for the past ten years, but if you are interested in science fiction, I can tell you that everything about Nova Covert Ops had been conceived in my mind for quite a long time.

An alliance was established between two races that had always been at war. On that day, they met in the Forest of the Last Light.

Originally, I was going to make this story a sci fi game where the races would have been aliens living in a different dimension. I had been considering making this a sci fi game during the pre-production phase, and I finally managed to find the perfect partner for the project.

Kitsu Namoto has a beautiful voice, and is a very kind woman. While singing, she often reminisces about her happy memories. It was the softly spoken voice of this young girl that first attracted me to her.

We lived very freely with our hearts and minds, as young people. We traveled to every corner of this wide world, forming a single, amazing group.

In the late summer of 2005, we learned that one of our own, Kitsu, was soon to be married. We were no longer going to the same places, separate by family and town.
