Like many CAD applications, AutoCAD is able to create professional-quality 2D and 3D drawings, drawings of space, animations, and movie files. As of the 2010 version, AutoCAD is bundled with AutoCAD LT, a free, low-end CAD application, but AutoCAD users can also buy a range of add-ons and upgrades.

AutoCAD was formerly available in two versions: AutoCAD Classic and AutoCAD LT, the latter being less capable and intended to provide a low-cost alternative to AutoCAD. However, in 2010, Autodesk retired AutoCAD Classic and replaced it with a new, lower cost product called AutoCAD Architecture. AutoCAD LT remains available as a free product, and AutoCAD Architecture and AutoCAD LT are available for purchase.

In 2017, AutoCAD received its most significant update in over two decades. The 2017 update added 3D printing capability, and took AutoCAD even further by allowing the user to import design data directly from the Web. With the 2018 release, the update was extended to include new AutoCAD features and functionality. In 2019, the update brought cloud integration, object tracking, and more.

History

AutoCAD Classic

AutoCAD Classic was first released in 1985 as a desktop application. In its first iteration, AutoCAD Classic used a painting metaphor, and a user painted shapes by using the mouse to draw polylines to form the desired shape. The shape lines were combined into a block and stacked to create the drawing.

AutoCAD Classic was designed to work with a specific graphics card, with the assumption that users already had an image memory board and a host of digital drawing tools. For most users, the existing minicomputer systems were already good for CAD applications, but the paint metaphor had limitations.

AutoCAD LT

AutoCAD LT was originally launched in 1991, and allowed users to create 2D drawings without the need for a host computer. The LT model was the beginning of Autodesk’s move away from the desktop computing world. It was a step forward for users who wanted a self-contained CAD solution.

A user interacted with the software using a drawing pad. By holding down the left mouse button, a pen line would be created. By holding down the right mouse button, the line would be selected and a line width and thickness could be selected

AutoCAD

Open Autocad.

Choose My Computer to open the folder where Autocad is installed.

Click the Autocad directory and double-click AutoCAD.

Click the Autocad Startup Icon.

Type the Keygen-AL-12345-1234567890-install.exe.

Click OK.

Autocad starts automatically.

Remember to type the same keygen every time you use Autocad.
