So far I understood that str.encode() is used to convert a string object into bytes object.
As for the other two methods,

No, they are quite different.
encode() writes a string to a binary sequence of bytes. You don’t get to specify what those bytes are, so you can only encode a string into a sequence of bytes that correspond to the bytes of the original text.
