  I’m a massive fan of No More Heroes and love everything about it; action RPGs, over-the-top weapons and gimmicks, and quick-time events galore. So when I was looking at what I had access to on the PS Vita, and how it might be a good fit for the game, I naturally gravitated to it. Unlike the PS4, which already has the game, the Vita version included everything that was included with the game on the PS3. So I was able to play through the game. But I also took a closer look at it, which is exactly why I’m here on this site; to try and figure out what everything does.

  The game plays a lot like No More Heroes, which I’m surprised didn’t come with a pre-existing review on this site as No More Heroes should really be the template for this kind of game. Yes, the only difference is that there is a party. But you can still cut and shoot (or do the other super-cool stuff that NMA does); it’s just that you’re in a party where you’ve got some friends to talk to. Now, the strength of this kind of game, one that does what I love in other franchises like NMA and Persona, is that you choose your own party. Since you have no regular NPCs, you’re largely in charge of what these guys do, which is pretty great. Of course, there’s a few options and stuff, but I mean, you’re probably going to want to cut and shoot anyway, so the choice is pretty easy.
