Players can directly customize the appearance of their main character, Gustav, and choose from a large variety of classes.

Dialogue events seamlessly flow to the next chapter via the relationships established during battle or conversations, and it is possible to start the story in multiple different ways.

Each chapter consists of several fights, one of which is a boss fight.
Players can freely control the direction of battle in each fight, as well as a variety of settings such as a deep darkness or bright sunlight.

The character models look okay, but some of the NPCs look a bit bland and lack in personality. The game’s colors don’t stand out and there are a lot of fuzzy edges and blocky textures.
  Gameplay(4/5): Having many different modes for playing makes the gameplay fresh and flexible and many different dungeons offer plenty of exploration and challenge. The map system seems to be more emphasis on the wayfinding aspect than in the classic roleplaying games. Your attacks are performed by pressing, holding, and moving keys, so it’s easy to take control of the game with just one hand.
  Conclusion(4/5): While Elden Ring certainly isn’t what I would consider a masterpiece, I enjoyed the game quite a bit. While it doesn’t have all of the elements that made the older titles so great, it does have a lot to offer in the way of story and graphics. Overall, Elden Ring is a good addition to the RPG scene.
