The Differences between the two programs

If you haven’t studied graphic design, you might be wondering if your skills are transferrable between these two programs.

Are you really better at Photoshop and Elements?

If not, why do you have two programs and can’t you just use the one?

The answer to these questions is yes.

Adobe Photoshop is considered the professional version of the program while Adobe Elements is the consumer version of Photoshop.

Both versions have different features. Photoshop can be used to edit images, whereas Elements is for graphic design and editing.

If you are more interested in designing than in editing, you can use Elements, while if you are an expert, you can use Photoshop.

What do you think of the two different programs? Which is better?

Let us know your thoughts in the comments and try to remember that everything has its own pros and cons.

In the next sections, you’ll find a comparison between Photoshop and Elements, including the differences between the two. We’ll answer the main questions you may have about the two programs:

Which is better for editing? Which has more graphic design features? Which is more suitable if you are a beginner or an expert? Which is the best program for creating memes? Which one is better for printing and photographing? Which one is better for generating emojis?

Which one is best for editing?

Both are powerful programs, but Photoshop has more features for editing images.

AttributeError: ‘AnonymousUser’ object has no attribute’remember’

I’ve defined a custom authentication method in the Django middleware based on:
How to customize remember me in django-registration-redux
class CustomRememberManager(ReconstitutingRememberManager):
def login(self, request, user=None):
self.load_from_session(request, user)

This works fine for the majority of users but for some reason I’m getting:

AttributeError: ‘AnonymousUser’ object has no attribute’remember’

I’ve been using it for some time with little problems, so this is making me baffled.
Does anyone have any idea what could cause this?
I’m using the built-in User model.

This is because of the right ordering of middleware, use django’s built-in anonymous user middleware which will replace it.
from django.contrib.auth.middleware.authentication import get_requesting_user

class CustomRememberManager(ReconstitutingRememberManager):
def login(self, request, user=None):
self.load_from_session(request, user)

then add this to your

How to reliably find a PID in C?

I’m running a process on Linux that takes anywhere from 5 to 10 minutes to complete. I would like to be able to figure out when it’s finished so I can add another task. The problem is that I’ve learned that I can’t actually check for the exit status of the program because it doesn’t have one. I found that on the OS X version it works by doing the following:
NSProcessInfo* processInfo = [NSProcessInfo processInfo];

[[processInfo process] kill];
[[processInfo process] terminate];

// time it out, since in this case we are trying to wait for a child process to terminate
if ([[NSProcessInfo processInfo] processName]!= @ »childProcessName ») {
if ([[NSProcessInfo processInfo] terminationTime])
// Do stuff

This works but it seems like a hack. I looked at this question:
« How to check if a process is running? » and tried using the NSProcessInfo class and terminating that process using
[[[NSProcessInfo processInfo] process] terminate];

but the program always crashes.
Shouldn’t the [NSProcessInfo process] return a reference to the process in question?

The method kill does not remove the process from the running processes’ table. You’ll have to clear the process object from the NSProcessInfo.process array to release the reference if you wish to prevent it from « accidentally » re-spawning.
The easiest way to do that is to keep an array of the existing processes and then loop through them until you find the one you want:
NSMutableArray *runningPids = [NSMutableArray array];

// Find existing processes
for (NSProcessInfo* pid in [[[NSProcessInfo processInfo] process] processes]) {
if ([[NSProcessInfo processInfo] processName]!= [pid processName])

[runningPids addObject:pid];

if ([runningPids count] > 0) {
// Remove the references to the processes
for (NSUInteger i=0; i
