The application features four main settings:

Once you�ve enabled the appropriate settings, it can take a bit of time for PopDown to fully download, install and load the updated tracking script. There�s no popup blocker for Linux, Windows 7 or Windows 8: because of how PopUp works, PopDown needs Windows XP or above to function properly.
After this has completed, it�s still just as easy to turn it off again. In the menu, you can select the site(s) you want to block, or leave everything as it is (but with the added benefit of being able to control these settings more easily if you need to add or remove sites).
What Are Pop-Ups Anyway?
What exactly are pop-ups? The easiest way of putting it is that they�re those annoying windows that appear (sometimes with audio!) whenever you click on a link. Usually they�re spam, but they can also be very annoying adverts, and sometimes they�ll appear simply due to an error in the web page you�re viewing. If you�re writing a website, this is potentially a really dangerous thing to allow to happen, and one you can easily eliminate with PopUp.
Currently PopUp can block over 50 sites, with the option to add more if you want to. It tracks a number of different sites and their associated types of pop-up, so it�s well worth checking out.
